"Band number 66. Singapore Chinese Girls' School...GOLD!"

And the whole band screamed our lungs out causing the Bowen people in front of us to jump in shock.

After months of hardwork, frustration, and stuff, we finally got what we wanted. We got over the fence which determined silver or gold! I am SOOOOOO PROUD OF SCBAND!!!!!

It's not like the gold was expected. It just wasn't very confirmed that we would get a gold the night practice before SYF, cos it was as if we played a terrible april fool's prank on mr tan. But today we totally rocked the SCH stage! It was "the best we have ever played".

We:
1)Breathed in DEEP AND LOUD
2)Took comfort in breathing when we were scared
3)were on fire
4)played like mad women

The band really learnt to breathe properly today. As the instructors said, there are 365 days, but this is the one day you MUST breathe properly. And we did! I have never ever breathed till my lungs hurt in my entire life. Till now I'm still kind of breathing in alot..;D

The point is, my mind was singing along with the band during overture 1 and die fledermaus, and when we hit the final note and stood up, I was grinning and thinking "YES THIS IS IT THE BEST IT COULD BE"!! State of euphoria for everyone and everyone was exchanging the phrase "good job". :D:D:D And when we went into the hall again, our efforts for these 6 months have been rewarded with a deserving gold! It was what we have all along been wishing and working hard for.

Thanks to mr tan, mr khoo, sebastian, teacher ics, and everyone who wished band goodluck;D

Now that the stress of SYF is over, I feel very empty. Nothing to look forward to anymore:/ It'll just be normal practice and mentoring the sec ones...sigh. Now then I realise how much I've enjoyed the process of preparing for SYF, and how sweet success tastes:D
