Today was the longest day since start of this year. You would think, oh first period was CE and all we did was to put up CNY decorations and it's all so relaxing right? Amath next and it was manageable. Surds is way easier than indices!
Then came the most challenging period-DOUBLE PHYSICS. Omg. It's mentally draining cos we had to do four graphs which had really weird scales set on purpose and we're supposed to think of our own scales. Mr Cheong was saying he couldn't claim the credit of killing us cos the paper was not set by him. Hah. Then the physics teachers would walk around the lab looking at our graphs and I was halfway through my second challenging graph and was half dying and the teacher said "no your graph is not big enough you should leave 4cm at the bottom at most" and I had to erase and redraw the whole graph! Grrr. Walked out of the lab feeling light headed(cos all my brain juices were used up).
After that was DOUBLE HIGHER CHINESE. We spent the two periods doing zuowen and that's really tiring too. I really don't like to check the dictionary. It wastes energy. Haha, that's why I gave up halfway and took to using mel's electronic dictionary to check words:D But I completed the zuowen and that's another accomplishment for the day.
Then geog. Sigh. I forgot to do the describe the photograph and had to go out to do it, fast. Stupidzz. Luckily I was not alone or imagine the embarrassment. That kind of spoilt my day though, cos I accomplised so much and felt so tired alrd and I had to forget to do my homework-..-
Had a quick lunch and zikun mel and I embarked on the long and tiring journey to NIE all the way at the west. First we took bus to commonwealth(I think) then mrt-ed to boon lay and switched to bus to NIE. Was like 2 mins late cos it took 1h30mins to reach there from school. Kind of underestimated the time. And amazingly we didn't lose our way! Met Professor Yau, our mentor for SMP. It was quite fun at the D&T workshop cos there was a class he was conducting and we were seated in the classroom. He started by introducing himself and a lady called hweeling(not sure if spelt like that) who's his assistant I think. Couldn't hear him that properly cos the class was really noisy. He said our sc uniform is really unique and asked if any other schools have the same uniform, and then started asking his students if they knew which school we were from. Haha. That was somewhat entertaining.
Anyway, our SMP project is on the Rubik's Cube. We have to learn the history, structure, and mathematics behind the Rubik's Cube, which inevitably means we have to learn to solve it. Which is kind of fun if you come to think of it. Cos I have been wanting to learn it proper and memorise all the formulas. Shall start now:D Prof Yau also showed us all the various forms of Rubik's Cube, and he showed us this website on the Rubik's Cube. You know what. There's actually a 100x100x100 rubik's cube! That's madness. All I could see was a muti coloured cube, couldn't distinguish each square at all. He also mentioned that should we be able to learn all the concepts fast, he would like us to try creating a new type of structure which is the throwing ball. You know, the ball that changes colour when you throw it? It's cool. But have to learn the joints which is realllyyyyy complicated! & he lent us SMP proposals by other schools to give us an idea what our end product would be like.
After today I would never think that not having a proper lunch doesnt matter. Cos it matters. I had a handroll for lunch and by 6 I was kind of hungry. Plus, I'm carsick. So when mel's mum drove us home I was feeling so uncomfortable and felt like puking anytime. Horrible. So I nodded off and when I woke up and swallowed I tasted bile! It's the bitter taste that lingers in your mouth which is like the aftertaste of vomit. Retch! Ewwww I hate being carsick. It's so inconvenient):
OBS in one months time! Linda's so super enthu about it! I'm just a bit scared about the things previous sec 3s said about OBS. Plus the reasons I shared with Lyeann which I'm not about to disclose here. And Marcus had to scare me more by saying that people drink chlorinated water at OBS and they are "brown brown de"-..- Omg la. But still, I look forward to OBS!
Cheryl: Haha, right. I didn't watch ratatouille anyway.
